FS4 Installation Training at Yantai Institute of Coastal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences
Research background and significanceThe importance of the ocean in the global system: The ocean covers about 71% of the earth's surface and is an important part of the global climate system. It plays a key role in regulating global climate, material circulation and energy exchange. Although traditional ocean monitoring methods such as shipborne measurements and buoy monitoring can obtain certain ocean information, they have problems such as limited spatial coverage, poor temporal continuity, and high manpower and material costs. Although satellite remote sensing can be used for large-scale observations, it has shortcomings in obtaining some details and specific parameters, such as the difficulty in accurately obtaining some optical characteristic parameters of water bodies. With the continuous advancement of optical technology, sensor technology and data processing technology, the performance of ground object spectrometers has been continuously improved, providing new technical mea...
