About the National Quantitative Remote Sensing Academic Conference:

Earth observation and remote sensing technology emerged in the 1960s, which played an important role in many fields such as global change, ecology, environment, agriculture, forestry, meteorology, and human activities, and received great attention from countries all over the world. More than 7,000 satellites have been launched and a large amount of remote sensing data has been obtained. Explaining the mechanism of remote sensing signals, comprehensively mining remote sensing data information, producing multi-scale remote sensing products, carrying out scale conversion, authenticity testing, and the analysis and application of remote sensing products are the essence of quantitative remote sensing and the core of remote sensing science.

The National Quantitative Remote Sensing Academic Forum was initiated and initiated by Academician Li Xiaowen. The first forum was held in 2007 and will be held every two years since 2017. The Fifth Forum aims to exchange the latest developments, discuss future development directions, and promote academic cooperation in terms of related theories, technologies, and applications of quantitative remote sensing.
